Show Reports - Stanford Hall VW 2016

And we’re back!

It seems like no time has passed at all since the end of 2015’s show season and yet here we are at the start of another season of car shows and our opportunity to take LobsterDiecast out from the confines of our unit and into the countryside.

As with the previous four years, show season for us kicks off with Stanford Hall VW show in Leicestershire. We really like this show at LobsterDiecast and it’s a nice way to kick off our season with a nice mix of cars, laid back atmosphere and a fantastic location in the grounds of Stanford Hall and next to the river Avon.

For those who’ve never been to the show before then Stanford Hall VW Show is run by the Warwickshire & Leicestershire VWOC and concentrates more on the ‘classic’ Volkswagen rather than the newer and modified car – though thats not to say they aren’t welcome too – so you’ll find plenty of very early Beetles, Buses and Campers alongside the more modern Corrados, Golfs and increasingly at VW shows, New Beetles.

We’ve yet to experience any bad weather at Stanford Hall and whilst the weather was a little on the cold side the sun came out and brought a huge number of visitors with it making the weekend a great success.

And with that, show season is under way. Next for us is Motors By The Moat at Leeds Castle in Kent, our furthest trip South and taking us to a new show for the first time. Hopefully we’ll see a few of you there!
