La Vie En Bleu 2014

As much  as you try not to, you can’t help doing it. You know it might not be right and theres nothing you can do about it anyway but still you keep doing it. Checking the weather forecast that is.

In the week before a show it becomes hard not to worry about the weather – with outdoor shows anyway- as the weather can obviously have a massive impact on how the show goes. This year we were due to attend Prescott Hillclimb for La Vie En Bleu on Saturday and Sunday but the weather forecast quickly made it obvious that with very heavy rain forecast for Saturday the sadly being there all weekend wouldn’t really be worth it.

And so with a rather heavy heart we decided to skip Saturday trading and arrive late Saturday evening to set up ready for a sunny Sunday. And fortunately we had a very sunny Sunday.

La Vie En Bleu is one of our favourite events. Its actually an event I’d go to if we weren’t trading there. Held at the famous Prescott Hillclimb which is one of the most scenic venues in the UK the show has a very laidback, relaxed atmosphere and featuring a wide selection of classic and modern French cars (and a bus!) from Renault 4s to Bugatti Veyrons with all points inbetween covered.

Fortunately the sun came out on Sunday and in no time the rain and mud of Saturday was forgotten and the grounds filled with a wide array of show cars and the track itself saw a superb day of action.

We’ll be back there in 2015 but if you missed it this year, you can find our photos on our facebook page.
