Show Reports – Stanford Hall VW 2015

If theres one thing certain about the British weather it is its uncertainty. In the run up to our show season kicking off at Stanford Hall this weekend, the various weather forecasting bodies were on the wet side of gloomy with forecasts of heavy rain for pretty much the entire bank holiday weekend. It was with this in mind that we loaded the van and pointed it in the general direction of the M6 and Leicestershire.

So you will imagine our relief that after a damp start the weather improved dramatically with sunshine and even a reasonable amount of warmth to be had. And that’s good because Stanford Hall VW is one of our favourite shows, set in the ample grounds of the hall and on this weekend home to some of the UK’s finest Volkswagen show cars with some visitors travelling from as far as the Channel Islands to attend.

Despite our earlier fears it was (as ever) a hugely busy show and for us it was nice to see so many familiar faces and meet so many new people too! In the rather limited time available to us to have a look around the show (sadly busy shows mean we tend to not get to see much other than the inside of our stand) we spotted some superb classic and modern VW, Audi and Porsche show cars – some of which you can see below and you can find more on our facebook page.

So that was Stanford Hall for 2015. And with show season for 2015 now under way we turn our attentions to the next show, namely All Types VW Show held at Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales. More on that in two weeks!
