Schuco – 100 years of the wonders of technology

It all began in 1912 with toys. The first products were cuddly toys. But not just any cuddly toys, as they all boasted a special feature: they could walk, turn or move their arms and legs. The ‘Pick-Pick Bird’ became the cult toy of its time. An incredible 20 million of these birds were sold - a huge success in that day and age. The Schuco brand has always been driven forward by a real enthusiasm for technology, a continuous desire to achieve innovation and improvements and our love of details. This was also a reason why the technically sophisticated toys soon became hugely popular with fathers and slowly vanished from children’s playrooms. Over the years, the trend clearly moved towards miniature vehicles as collectors’ items, which is also reflected in today’s product range. But do not make the mistake of thinking that Schuco only produces miniature cars. Our range of agricultural vehicles is also growing steadily.In this anniversary year, the friends and fans of Schuco miniature models can look forward to special new releases based on models which contributed immeasurably to the first 100 years of our company. Otto - New announcements

We've already said (many times) how pleased we've been with the Otto range. So we've got just a little but giddy with some new announcements that we've just heard about!

Sunstar - New Announcements

More news from the Nuremburg Toy Fair arrives in the form of new announcements in Sunstars classic rally car range. We are expecting these to be released from early March onwards and as with all the 1/18 classic rally cars Sunstar have produced so far they should prove to be very popular!

Oxford Diecast - New Announcements

Theres a lot of new announcements around at this time of year and this afternoon we received an email with some new stuff coming over the next few months from Oxford Diecast. 

Having had chance to look over whats new we are really pleased with it and can't wait to get them into our store and to some shows as we know that the range will be equally as popular with you!

The 1:76 range continues to grow. New announcements include Morris Marinas, Triumph 2500, VW T25, Ford Transit Beavertail RAC van, more Land Rovers, more VW T2 Bay Window vans and much more besides. In 1:43 there are new Mercedes Sprinter Ice Cream vans building on the popularity of the earlier Ice Cream vans which rapidly sold out as well as a new addition to the Top Gear Challenge series - The Toyota Hilux That Refused To Die!

Coming in 2012

Its difficult (if not impossible) to give a list of what new models to expect during the course of 2012 but suffice to say that there should be some really good new releases from a variety of manufacturers throughout 2012. 

So rather than try to do that we thought we'd give you a taste of what to expect in terms of brands that will have an increased presence both here and in our eBay store, those that we will be carrying a far larger selection of items in stock throughout the year. So if you are interested in any of the following then keep an eye out for them appearing here soon!
